On Wednesday night we put our unused shoes boxes to a good cause as we prepared three boxes for the Samaritans Purse annual Operation Christmas Child project.
We chose to pack for a young girl, boy 10-14 and boy 5-9. Tash, our Publicity Officer, helps out at the Operation Christmas Child Warehouse so was able to advise on good gifts to buy.
Emma and Caroline got cracking with wrapping the boxes using excellent teamwork and the boxes turned out looking great! We’d hire them to do our Christmas present wrapping – nice job ladies!
Next up, we divided the gifts up for the ages. Included were Minion gloves, a skipping rope, colouring pens, toy cars and a bouncy ball.
Once they were all packed, all that was left to do was put the lids on and send them off with Tash who took them to the Warehouse for them to be sent off to the children for Christmas.
It got us feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. It’s fun doing things for charity and we definitely had a very successful evening!
